Steering Committee

Role: Serve as the central leadership body providing strategic direction, ensuring alignment across all committees, and maintaining the integrity and momentum of the 704 No More™ initiative. The Steering Committee plays a critical role in sustaining focus, ensuring consistent messaging, and empowering all parts of the 704 No More™ movement to work together strategically and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set overall vision and priorities: Define the strategic objectives, core messaging, and long-term goals for the initiative to ensure a unified and powerful movement.

  • Oversee all Committees and coordinate efforts: Provide guidance and support to each committee, ensure their work aligns with the initiative’s mission, and foster collaboration between committees where appropriate.

  • Maintain regular communication among leadership: Facilitate ongoing dialogue between committee chairs, coalition partners, and key stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and mutual support.

  • Assess campaign progress and adjust strategy as needed: Regularly evaluate progress toward objectives, identify challenges and opportunities, and refine strategies to remain adaptive and effective.

  • Facilitate collaboration across national and local levels: Support coordination between national advocacy efforts and grassroots local actions, ensuring that the initiative’s work is cohesive, mutually reinforcing, and scalable.

Ideal Candidates for the Steering Committee:

  • Have significant leadership experience in advocacy, law, policy, public health, environmental issues, grassroots organizing, or strategic communications.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of restoring state and local control over wireless infrastructure siting.

  • Possess excellent organizational, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Are collaborative, solutions-oriented, and able to work constructively with diverse teams and coalition partners.

  • Have the ability to dedicate sufficient time to actively engage in meetings, strategic planning, and oversight activities.

  • Bring valuable networks, expertise, or influence that can strengthen the initiative’s reach, credibility, and impact.
