Fundraising Committee

Role: Secure the financial resources necessary to sustain the initiative for three years and beyond. This committee will focus on both conventional and creative fundraising strategies, including donor identification and outreach, online campaigns, grant writing, and collaborative efforts with coalition members, with an emphasis on attracting health-conscious and environmental philanthropists, family offices, donors to community foundations  and younger funders aligned with our mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Cultivate Donors and Foundations: Identify and approach individual donors, health- and environmentally-conscious family foundations, family offices, and corporate sponsors.

  • Plan and Recommend Fundraising Events: Organize and recommend fundraising events for coalition members, including in-person gatherings, online auctions, film screenings, house parties, and educational events.

  • Develop Online Fundraising Campaigns: Create and manage online fundraising strategies, including donation pages, social media outreach, and virtual campaigns to broaden donor reach.

  • Engage Younger Funders and Brands: Build relationships with younger philanthropists with inherited wealth and high-integrity brands that align with health, environmental, and local governance values.

  • Support Local Fundraising Activities: Provide templates, resources, and creative support to coalition members for local fundraising initiatives that also strengthen the overall movement.

Ideal Candidates for the Fundraising Committee:
We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have proven success in fundraising, donor development, grant writing, or foundation relations.
Are passionate about protecting public health, constitutional rights, the environment, and local governance.

  • Are resourceful and creative, able to connect with wealthy individuals, health and environmental philanthropists, holistic doctors, or key community influencers.

  • Are active in local networks, online communities, or professional groups where fundraising appeals could be shared effectively.

  • Can dedicate sufficient time to planning, outreach, event execution, donor cultivation, and campaign coordination.

Experience raising funds for health, environmental, legal, or civil rights causes is especially valued. We especially welcome individuals with access to donor research tools, community foundation networks, or a willingness to host small events.
