704 No More™ Communications Committee
Role: Provide public education about the risks of wireless technology and the solutions communities can pursue, while ensuring all 704 No More™ messaging is clear, compelling, and consistent. This committee will lead communications strategy, media relations, and targeted outreach in collaboration with CHD’s Marketing and Media professionals. A Media Relations Subcommittee will focus on outreach to journalists, health-focused media, public radio, podcasts, and local press to expand visibility and public engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop Messaging and Materials: Create clear, consistent talking points, flyers, postcards, social media content, and other public-facing materials.
Coordinate with Community and Professional Partners: Collaborate with trusted local messengers such as health professionals, educators, and grassroots networks.
Execute Marketing and Outreach Campaigns: Identify opportunities for outreach through local events, aligned NGOs, companies, and community spaces.
Distribute Educational Content: Support broad distribution of campaign materials through public events, health food stores, and online platforms.
Lead Media Relations Strategy: Develop media lists, pitch stories, and build relationships with journalists and health-oriented media outlets.
Ensure Messaging Consistency Across Committees: Help maintain unified, strategic messaging across all campaign activities.

Experience in health, environmental, civil rights, digital advocacy, or media and public relations campaigns is especially valued. We are seeking creative communicators who can translate complex legal and scientific issues into accessible, actionable messages that resonate with the public and the press. Individuals with a background in storytelling, media outreach, or issue-based advocacy will play a critical role in expanding visibility, building momentum, and driving meaningful support for 704 No More™.
