Grassroots Mobilization & Legislative Advocacy Committee
Role: Mobilize federal, state, and local support and work directly with legislators and public officials to advance favorable laws. This committee will also coordinate public-facing efforts to raise visibility for 704 No More™, including outreach in public spaces, state-level collaboration with EMF and environmental groups, and creative grassroots actions that generate both community engagement and media content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate Local Action: Organize “boots on the ground” outreach efforts and public events to spread awareness and engage local communities.
Advance Federal Legislation: Introduce and advocate for a federal bill that addresses the core priorities of the 704 No More™ initiative.
Build Legislative Relationships: Cultivate relationships with elected officials and legislative allies at all levels of government.Promote Local Zoning Control: Advocate for policies that restore local authority over wireless infrastructure siting and ensure EMF protections.
Develop Effective Messaging: Create clear, compelling talking points and educational materials for the public and decision-makers.
Amplify Through Media: Promote the initiative’s goals through earned media, social media campaigns, and strategic public storytelling.
Ideal Candidates for the Grassroots Mobilization & Legislative Advocacy Committee:
We are seeking individuals who:
Have experience or interest in grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, public affairs, or strategic communications.
Are passionate about restoring local control, protecting public health, and engaging communities in meaningful civic action.
Are strong relationship-builders and confident engaging with elected officials, decision-makers, and the public.
Are comfortable organizing in-person events, rallies, or community outreach campaigns.
Can contribute to message development, campaign coordination, and collaborative state-level advocacy with EMF and environmental groups.
Experience in environmental justice, digital advocacy, or legislative campaigns is especially valued. We welcome individuals who have successfully mobilized public engagement, worked on issue-based advocacy, or partnered with community organizations to influence policy. Creative thinkers who can help turn visibility efforts into lasting momentum — such as by organizing public actions, coordinating media coverage, or generating compelling photo and video content for social media — will be a major asset to this committee. The ability to inspire participation, build community alliances, and keep the spotlight on our goals is critical to the success of this work.
